Fly Fishing
Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon & Snook

Saltwater fly fishing the Yucatan is an adventure

Right out your front door is the caribbean sea.  A tranquil wash of crystal clear waters teeming with life.  At times fishing is the last thing on your mind...that is until you see a half dozen giant barracuda marauding the beachfront.  Hook one of these bad boys and it is on.

The flats of Sacrificio are miles long.  White sand, grass flats, deep pot holes, downed trees and coral heads all hold bonefish, permit, snapper & triggerfish. Wait for the boats to leave the marina and watch the schools of big bonefish roll in.  It is non stop opportunities all day long.  A perfect opportunity to hone your bonefishing skills.  Multiple shots, nice fish.  Get close enough to watch em eat.  Change flies, judge reactions, it is amazing.  The bonefishing in the Yucatan is hard to beat.

Laguna Santa Rosa holds a year round population of active junveline tarpon and beautiful lagoon bonefish.  Access this back country in kayaks to sightcast to bonefish and tarpon.  Anglers who are most successful have experience spotting fish, handling a kayak and double haul casting.  Non stop snapper & barracuda action could keep anglers busy all day long with muscle straining fish hammering topwater presentations.

Espiritu Santo Bay is the Yucatan's last fly fishing frontier.  No other destination is exploring deeper into the Sian Ka'an in search of wild jungle fish.  Casa Redonda is blessed with healthy populations of four of the greatest species ever to be taken fly fishing - bonefish, permit, tarpon & snook.  Espiritu Santo Bay is a miraculous fishery were the extraordinary could and does happen every single day.  Experience the rivers laden with tarpon & snook.  Or the backwater lagoons loaded with tailing permit.  Or just catch yourself silly some bonefish.  Bonefish, bonefish, bonefish.  Forget what you hear, just come down and see for yourself.  Casa Redonda has world class bonefish.

How about some reef fishing on the Palancar?  Snapper, group, barracuda and more.  Someone has to feed the camp.

It is hard to describe how incredible the fishing is.  Especially at Casa Redonda.  Fishing is unlimited.  Bring a headlamp so you can fish through the night.  We are surrounded by fish.  Fish as much as you like.  BUT you do have to check in so we can be sure you are alive.
